The Definitive Gettysburg Gaming Experience
GMT Games is proud to present the Deluxe Edition of Three Days of Gettysburg, the cornerstone of the Great Battles of the American Civil War (GBACW) series. Utilizing the legendary interactive chit-pull mechanics, this system perfectly simulates the friction and chaotic nature of 19th-century regimental combat.
Enhanced Historical Realism
This Deluxe edition goes far beyond a visual update, introducing new rules to better reflect the specific conditions of the battle:
- Skirmisher Rules: New detachment rules allow for historical missions, making the fight for Bliss Farm as challenging as it was in 1863.
- Heroic Stands: New "Collapse" and artillery loss rules allow for iconic moments, such as Alonzo Cushing’s final stand at the Angle.
- Artillery & Cavalry: Detailed weapon types, Confederate fuse issues, and dismounted cavalry counters for the fight on the East Cavalry Battlefield.
Scenarios & Flexibility
With over 10 scenarios included, the game offers a wide range of playtimes:
- Small Contests: Skirmishes on half-sized maps, perfect for a single sitting.
- The Full Battle: The ultimate Gettysburg experience on four full-sized maps depicting the entire campaign.
- Scalable Complexity: Includes both the standard rules and a "Simple Version" for those seeking a more accessible entry into the series.
Key Features
- Premium Components: Beautiful Mark Simonitch maps featuring stone walls, sloping hexes, and house-sized rocks (Devil’s Den).
- Unmatched Accuracy: Corrected weapon types, updated unit cohesion rules, and historical recovery mechanics.
- Tactical Depth: Massive counter set (8 sheets) covering every unit present, with optional counters for "what-if" scenarios.
