Death or Glory: The Battle of Rorke's Drift

1879, South Africa. The battle cry "Usuthu!" pierces the air as a mass of warriors surges toward an isolated mission station. Death or Glory transports you to the heart of one of the most legendary clashes in military history. In this high-tension game, you relive the pure heroism of British defenders entrenched behind biscuit boxes and mealie bags, facing a determined Zulu "impi".

Mechanics and Dramatic Intensity

The game captures the essence of asymmetrical combat. On one side, the devastating but slow firepower of Martini-Henry rifles; on the other, the mobility and overwhelming numbers of Zulu forces using the "horns of the buffalo" tactic. Each turn represents an hour of fierce fighting, where resource management and the placement of your heroes (like Chard or Bromhead) will be decisive in repelling successive waves.

Highlights

  • Historical Immersion: Attention to detail that pays tribute to the eleven Victoria Cross recipients.
  • Tactical Tension: A visceral combat system simulating the breach of defense perimeters.
  • Epic Storytelling: Every game generates a unique narrative of bravery and sacrifice.
