Sixth Fleet: A Superpower Duel in the Mediterranean

This game simulates the struggle for naval and air supremacy in the Mediterranean during the 1970s and 1980s. As commander of either NATO or Soviet forces, you must protect your sea lines of communication while aggressively challenging those of your opponent.

Tactical and Modern Gameplay

Based on the proven Red Dragon Rising system, the game prioritizes fluidity and strategic decision-making:

Action Management: Each player is guaranteed one action per turn, but can gain or lose extra actions depending on the situation, creating constant operational tension.
Four Warfare Types: The combat system accurately models anti-surface, anti-air, anti-submarine, and anti-ground warfare, with units rated specifically for each type.
Electronic Warfare: A vital aspect of the game. Your Electronic Warfare ratings determine your ability to acquire targets, jam enemy sensors, and influence the combat initiative.

Enriched Deluxe Edition

This new version upgrades the game originally featured in Modern War #41:

Premium Components: Includes a mounted game board and brand-new artwork for both map and counters.
Enhanced Clarity: Updated rules for smoother gameplay, new player aid cards, and an insightful campaign analysis article.
Scenario Variety: Two 15-turn scenarios (1970s and 1980s), with the latter showcasing improved ships and aircraft technology.

Key Features

Tactical Accessibility: Perfect for an evening’s play, offering deep naval strategy without an overwhelming learning curve.
Realistic Simulation: A balanced system that integrates naval dominance with ground force power projection.
Strategic Depth: Electronic warfare mechanics introduce a fascinating layer of target acquisition and sensor jamming to every engagement.
