Great War at Sea: War Plan Gold – The Alternate Naval War

In the early 20th century, US Navy planners prepared for every possible threat. "War Plan Gold" investigated a potential conflict with France, driven by post-WWI tensions and fears of radical political shifts. This expansion brings these "what-if" scenarios to life, focusing on the strategic waters of the Caribbean Basin.

Unbuilt Giants of the Sea

Experience the raw power of ships designed but never completed due to the Washington Naval Treaty:

The French Fleet: Deploy the massive Gilles and Durand-Viel battle cruisers, the powerful Normandie and Lyon class battleships, and the experimental "croiseur de combat" battleship-carrier hybrid.
The American Defense: Command new US designs like the "alternate Omaha" large scout cruiser, specifically included to counter the French threat.
Strategic Depth: Relive the tension of a naval war that could have reshaped the Americas, fought with the most advanced technology of the interwar period.

Extremely Limited Collector's Item

War Plan Gold is a very special, limited release. Utilizing the map and high-quality playing pieces from the original U.S. Navy Plan Gold game, we have only 200 sets available for purchase. There will be no reprints—this is a must-have for serious naval wargamers and history enthusiasts.

Key Features

System: Great War at Sea (Expansion).
Units: Includes actual projected but unbuilt French and US ship designs.
Rarity: Strictly limited to 200 sets total.
Note: Requires Great War at Sea series rules to play.
