Battles for Quebec - A Deep Dive into North American Conflict
The Three Key Engagements
This module provides detailed scenarios for three critical conflicts over the control of Quebec:
- The Plains of Abraham (September 13, 1759): Features the famous morning confrontation between Montcalm and Wolfe. It also includes an extended scenario starting with the initial British landing, allowing players to experience the entire day's battle and explore alternative historical outcomes.
- Sainte Foy (April 29, 1760): Three scenarios cover this often-overlooked battle, representing the French forces' final major opportunity to defeat the British and potentially regain control of Quebec. This engagement is presented as a classic BAR fight across the frozen plains outside the city.
- Assault on Quebec (December 31, 1775): A unique addition to the series, this battle pits American forces against the defenders during a nighttime assault in a blizzard. The stakes are high—the fate of the fourteenth American colony hangs in the balance. This intense close-quarters battle will challenge even veteran BAR players, with one scenario featuring hidden forces to simulate a complete fog of war.
