DOODLEBUGS! : The V-1 Campaign (June 1944)

The ominous drone of the Argus pulsejet echoes across the Channel. To Londoners, it’s the "Buzz Bomb"; to you, it’s an unprecedented strategic threat. In DOODLEBUGS!, you take full command of the United Kingdom’s defenses during the pivotal week of June 13-20, 1944. Your mission: intercept the Fieseler Fi 103 missiles launched by Flak Regiment 155 from the French coast before they reach their target... London.

Tactical Interception & Risk Management

This solitaire game presents a unique tactical puzzle. The V-1 is fast, pushing your fighters to their absolute limits. You must coordinate a multi-layered defense: RAF interceptors, AA batteries, and barrage balloons. The game accurately simulates the "deadly distance" of aerial combat: open fire from 150 yards and the exploding warhead might take you down with it; fire from too far, and the missile will dive into its target.

The Stakes: A War of Attrition and Propaganda

By 1944, the war's end was a matter of time, but the V-1s—Hitler's Vengeance Weapons—threatened to reshape the political landscape. A successful German campaign could have forced Churchill’s resignation, granting the Axis a massive moral victory. DOODLEBUGS! blends historical atmosphere with tense decision-making, where managing limited resources and taking calculated risks is the only way to silence the "Hell Hounds."
