Take command of elite forces during some of the most intense and pivotal moments of World War II. From the D-Day beaches to airborne assaults deep behind enemy lines, For King & Country expands the Last Hundred Yards system with a new set of challenges, terrains, and historical confrontations.
By 1944, the legendary British 1st Airborne Division—the "Red Devils"—had earned its reputation for bravery and effectiveness through combat in North Africa and Crete. These red-bereted troops were the vanguard of major operations, tasked with capturing and holding key objectives ahead of ground forces. This volume lets players relive their heroic actions at the Caen Canal Bridge (later named “Pegasus Bridge”) and in Arnhem during Operation Market Garden, among the most daring airborne missions of the war.
On the beaches of Normandy, players will lead the untested but determined Canadian 3rd Infantry Division as they storm ashore at Juno Beach, battle toward the Caen-Bayeux railway, and seize the Carpiquet airfields while facing stiff German resistance. Engage in the fight for Caen itself, as 12th SS Panzer Division counterattacks with elite troops and top-tier equipment in a brutal defense of this vital transportation hub.
