World at War #110 features Operation Lorraine-Alsace 1944, the third volume in the Alternative Battles of the Bulge Series. This two-player operational wargame examines what would have happened during the first eight days of combat had Hitler chosen to strike the US 3rd and 7th Armies in Eastern France rather than initiating the Ardennes Offensive.

Alternative History Wargame: Strategic Objectives

Explore a plausible counterfactual scenario that could have rewritten the end of WWII in Europe:

Primary Target: Inflict massive casualties on the US 3rd and 7th Armies to cripple Allied offensive capabilities for early 1945.
Political Chaos: Destabilize Gen. Charles DeGaulle’s government politically, removing France's regenerating combat power from the war.
Global Strategic Impact: A major German victory could have delayed the Allied advance into Germany, allowing the Wehrmacht to slow the Soviet Vistula-Oder offensive in Poland—potentially resulting in atomic bombs being dropped on German cities in late 1945 instead of Japan.
