Operation Overlord: The Fate of Europe (June – August 1944)

June 6, 1944, was only the opening act. Operation Overlord is a deep strategic wargame that puts you in control of the Allied or German high commands during the critical three months following D-Day. This is not a game of tactical skirmishes, but a simulation of operational-level warfare where timing, logistics, and command structures are the keys to victory. Will you orchestrate the ultimate breakout, or will you hold the Atlantic Wall long enough to alter the war's outcome?

High-Level Operational Planning

Each month begins with a high-level strategic phase: the Allied player secretly schedules special operations, while the German player designates key cities as Festungen (fortresses) to be defended at all costs. The game utilizes wooden blocks to maintain a strict fog of war. Unit strengths remain hidden until combat occurs, forcing players to rely on reconnaissance, intuition, and strategic bluffing.

Logistics and Historical Stakes

In Operation Overlord, victory is measured by time and consequences. For the German player, every week gained against the Allied advance has far-reaching implications for morale and resources on other fronts. The integrated event-driven system blends historical accuracy with alternative outcomes, covering supply network management, reinforcement schedules, and the impact of military doctrines on the battlefield.
