Knarr: Skáli
The journey continues, but glory isn't only won at sea. With Skáli, the first expansion for the hit game Knarr, the fight for fame moves to the heart of your lands. While your longships explore the horizon, your village comes to life. It’s time to build a city worthy of the gods and prove your worth during bloody raids against your rivals.
This expansion requires the Knarr base game to play.
Gameplay Mechanics
The Skáli expansion enriches Knarr’s smooth gameplay with two major additions. The Village allows you to spend silver coins to construct buildings around your central hall (the Skáli). These structures activate in combo with your standard actions (recruiting, exploring, trading), multiplying your rewards. Meanwhile, the Raid system introduces fierce direct interaction: collect Raid tokens to trigger collective clashes. The most powerful clans seize the loot, while the unprepared suffer heavy losses.
Key Features
- Increased Tactical Depth: New combo options without sacrificing the original game's flow.
- Enhanced Interaction: Raids force you to keep a close eye on your opponents' military strength.
- Engine Building: Grow your village to customize your resource-gathering strategy.
- Stunning Art Direction: Beautifully illustrated in the same style that made the base game a success.
Box Contents
- Village Building tiles
- Individual Skáli boards
- Silver tokens and Raid markers
- New Crew and Destination cards
- Rulebook including new modules
