First Republic – The Fate of the Revolution in Your Hands

First Republic is a two-player historical simulation game focusing on the War of the First Coalition. Using a card-driven system and a point-to-point movement map, players relive the turbulent years where the young French Republic fought for its survival against a league of European monarchies and internal dissent.

A Grand Historical Conflict

The game begins in the Autumn of 1792. With Louis XVI imprisoned, the Revolution is at a crossroads, facing threats from every direction:

  • The Coalition Player: Take command of the forces led by the Holy Roman Emperor, Francis II, alongside Prussia, Great Britain, and Bourbon Spain. Your goal is to apply overwhelming military pressure to collapse the Republic and restore the Bourbon monarchy.
  • The French Player: Lead the Revolutionary government. Defend the frontiers against invasion and suppress internal uprisings. You must spread "liberté, égalité, fraternité" while keeping a close eye on your most successful general, Bonaparte, whose rising glory could eventually threaten the Republic itself.

Four Historical Scenarios

Experience different phases of the conflict through tailored scenarios:

  • The Early War (1792-1793): The struggle for survival as the Republic is declared.
  • The Late War (1795-1797): The expansion of French influence across Western Europe.
  • Bonaparte in Italy (1796): Focus on the brilliant campaign that launched a legend.
  • The Campaign Game (1792-1797): The full five-year struggle for dominance.

Une excellente découverte ! Le propriétaire est non seulement très sympathique, mais aussi passionné, disponible et de bon conseil. On sent qu’il aime ce qu’il fait, et ça se reflète dans l’ambiance chaleureuse de la boutique.
